  1. Why does Troy have trouble opening his mouth all the way when he talk? Either his lip is too short or his mouth is too long ???

  2. My parents and I drove over 200 miles today to Bastrop, Louisiana to see Troy and Jacob at Simmon's... We waited in line for three hours in the blistering sun ( and yes, both my mother and I got sunburned ) and when we FINALLY got inside... They cut the line off. Six people ahead of us, they started turning people away. If I would have slipped under the roped off area, I would have been able to touch him if I took three steps.
Now, I honestly don't blame the Landrys; they had stayed from 10am - 2pm instead of taking a break 12-2 like planned. They were understandably tired.
HOWEVER. I do believe that Simmon's handled the whole ordeal HORRIDLY. There were workers and security everywhere, but not in the places they were needed. There were people, instead of standing in line like the rest of us, going in to 'shop' and cutting into the line to see Troy and Jacob. I witnessed this firsthand when we did get into the store. The line was roped off with tape, but people were either going under it or merging with the line when it diverged with the shopping lines. They severely underestimated the magnitude of people that would show up. At the very LEAST, they could have set a cut-off sooner and not let people keep getting in line. By the time we got inside, there were men, women, children, and babies lined up around the store and across the railroad tracks and the line kept getting bigger. Many of them had, like us, been standing out there a very long time.
They also ran out of cold bottled water to sell. While inside, the security told us there were no more autographs being signed, and the employees were telling us the people still in line were guaranteed to get pictures and autographs.
When we got out of the store at 2:15pm, there were people showing up for the 2-4pm session and another line was starting. People were coming in as we were going out expecting to get to see them.
I think the stores/events that Troy & Co. come to should be screened beforehand or something, or they should be more careful where they go. A LOT of fans were angry! Simmon's Sporting Goods wasn't NEARLY big enough nor prepared to accommodate all the people that showed up. I'm positive fire and safety regulations were broken... People were crammed into the store like sardines. It's a /miracle/ that someone didn't have serious health problems due to the heat outside.
If Troy goes on 'tour' again next year, I think he should seriously consider NOT coming back to Simmon's. I certainly don't ever plan on gracing their doorstep again.

  3. I am an employee at Simmons' Sporting Goods and i would like to state that the Fire Martial was present and yes we did pass everything that we are required to. The Landry's did not take their 2 hour lunch break in order to try to see every fan possible. Because of this, us employees and everyone who they had planned interviews with did not get to meet with them and we had to work the maddness from 6:30 am - 7:30 pm. Not just 2-4 hours of us waiting, we waited all day hoping to meet them, but didn't get to in hopes of a few more fans getting to. We also had every Police officer that the Parish could allot to us that day. Security was definately handled. I would also like to state that if you did not arrive until around 2 pm you were very lucky to have even gotten as close as you did, Troy asked us at 1pm to cut the line because he knew there was no possible way he was going to get to see EVERYONE when he had already worked 2 hours more than he was getting paid for. People just kept lining up & we made everyone aware that at 4pm whether he had gotten to see everyone or not he was leaving and no one cared nor listened. And at 4:05 pm he did leave. As far as people skipping in line; we did our best. We had men raising their fist at our young lady employee, one of our young ladies was slapped, and another male employee was threatened by 3 other males. They really did try to make it an enjoyable expierence for everyone. It really is a true shame fans have to be so angry, the Landrys are such nice people, I really don't think they'd appreciate the things that were done in the crowd to us employees and that comment being posted. They enjoyed their trip to Simmons'! They even texted the owner the next day saying that they CAN'T WAIT TO COME BACK:)

  4. It sounds like the store did its best to handle the meet and greet with Troy! It's sad employees were treated badly by fans. The Landry family is a respected family and fans should show the Landry's respect as they wait to hopefully meet Troy and Jacob. I would be disappointed but I wouldn't be disrepectful!

  5. We went to the recent visit to the Buckmaster Expo in Montgomery AL to see Jacob and Troy...when we arrived the wait time was 4-6 hours in line to see them. My little girl is 4 years old and is totally loving her some Jacob LOL...all she wanted to do was to see him and get a photo with him, but as everyone knows you just can't wait in line for that long with a little one..so needless to say...we didn't get to get that picture or for her to see Jacob up close...made her sooooo sad and I felt so bad for her :( hopefully we'll get the opportunity again for her to see them one day, but I think things should be rethought a bit when they do appearances especially since a majority of their fans are little ones.

  9. I drove an hour to meet Troy at the Micosukee. I arrived at 9:30 pm. Micosukee advertised the meet & greet until 10 pm. When I arrived there was a great big tent and the meet and greet sign. I was very excited. Finally getting to meet the guy who's bagged all of those big gators. Right as I opened the door security from the Micosukee said the event is closed. Very disappointing. Micosukee is FALSE ADVERTISING their event and that place is an absolute shithole! I felt like I had to be worried about getting robbed while I was walking back to my car.

  10. I would like to know if they ever cnsider coming to upstate New York like Henrietta to Gander mountain to do a meet and greet? The people up here love them as much as the people in the south do. My husband and I faithfully watch swamp people just to watch Troy and family and also the rest of the cast. They are all enjoyed up here and want them to know that.

  14. I meet Troy and Jake on June 23rd at USCA Convocation Center in Aiken, SC. They were the most personable people I have ever meet. There was a big crowd but they acted as if we were the only people there once we got our chance for their autograph and visit. Very humble pair and I was very impressed.
